~Here I am~
We have done the work of the shadows and are ready to be in the light. We are now forcing our way gently through the last bit of the darkness; transformed and ready to say hello again. To be in the sun, spring and summer of the soul.
Crocus helps us to initiate new beginnings after periods of shadow exploration. Shedding any lingering aspects that are no longer a part of us allowing us to stand in our new power and shine light on the world around us.
Cutting ties with restrictions, false beliefs, resentment, grudges, doubt and mistrust whether self induced or inherited upon socialization, Crocus will assist us in finding grace in presence after a period of withdrawal.
Crocus shows us the very first steps needed to take in order to align with a new path we feel is upon us. Helping us to develop trust and a new found buoyancy in social settings and in the world at large. We can begin appreciating our vulnerability as bravery; while developing a recognition of the vulnerability in others understanding we are never alone. Crocus teaches us how to take the lead in life and forge the way without worrying about what's to come next; acknowledging and believing in our future selves ability to care of future things and focusing on the here and now. This is an Essence to help you gain the last bit of strength needed to rise from the ashes and is symbolic of finding hope.
Our inner winters will end and spring will always begin again.
Crocus consits of the varying colors white symbolizing purity, innocence and Truth. Purple for dignity, pride and success and yellow cheerfulness and joy.
Lore has it the fragrance of the crocus is thought to inspire love and was believed to bloom at midnight on Valentine’s Day. According to Greek legend, Crocus was the name of a Greek youth who fell in love with Smilax, a beautiful shepherdess. When the gods forbade this marriage, Crocus killed himself in deep sorrow. Upon discovering his death, Smilax was heart-broken and could not stop crying. The Goddess Flora took pity on the distraught Smilax and turned them both into plants. Crocus was turned into the Crocus flower while Smilax was turned into a vine. It is said that the Greeks used the vines to weave together garlands of crocus flowers as wedding decorations.
Crocus helps us to feel the energy of loss and grief with acceptance and surrender. This flower can resemble the shape of human lungs. Grief is held in the lung meridian and if our deep grievances are not resolved we can inherit lung disorders.
This essence allows us to feel embraced and supported in our transition into the light.
I made this essence on the first day of Spring also known as the Spring Equinox.
